Neckbeard

Just been sketching lately.  Have many things swirling around in my head and it always helps (me at least) to zen on something else for a short time and then move onto the projects that are most important to the cause

More Experimental Fun-time Machine

The music video that I am presently working on integrates and myriad of techniques. crazy really.  Among experimental techniques, there are high end graphics, paintings, primitive animation, detailed illustrations and odd animations like the machine above.

Experimental Fun

Playtime today.  Working on several techniques for a hypnotic background plate.  It is coming along, and I am enjoying the mixture of analog and digital technique.

Experiment_01_traveler

I am working on a music video for a great friend of mine, Jim May.  Jim has done a ton of soundtrack work for me over the years and it is nice to have an opportunity to pay the guy back with some animation accompaniment to his great work.  These tests are either silent or with scratch tracks for now, we will reveal the song at a later date.

Playing in my Experimental Sandbox

Captain Jim May, music man, and me, myself and I are embarking on an animation expedition into the unknown.  The goal?  To post "little" ditties of experimental animation.  I have always wanted to get back to being creative and trying new things both in the analog world and that one called digital.  Here is a recent experiment, that I shot yesterday under camera and then zapped it with some after effects magic.  Fun stuff and a solid start.

Open to Knock Knock's Demo Reel

Found this in the archive of Knock Knock Cartoons, we used this as our broadcast reel open for several years back in the day.  Unusual traditional work by myself, Todd Myers and David Fedan.  always tried to use different techniques at Knock Knock.  Here a variety of cel and camera techniques, water color (Monster Fish) and Scratchboard animation for Mr. Knock Knock (Dave Fedan is a genius).  I am sure you can recognize Todd's work here too, in the Howdy Dowdy image, T-rex and toy car.  Brilliant retro look as Todd was so good at pulling off.
