Open to Knock Knock's Demo Reel

Found this in the archive of Knock Knock Cartoons, we used this as our broadcast reel open for several years back in the day.  Unusual traditional work by myself, Todd Myers and David Fedan.  always tried to use different techniques at Knock Knock.  Here a variety of cel and camera techniques, water color (Monster Fish) and Scratchboard animation for Mr. Knock Knock (Dave Fedan is a genius).  I am sure you can recognize Todd's work here too, in the Howdy Dowdy image, T-rex and toy car.  Brilliant retro look as Todd was so good at pulling off.

Putting together some work from my Knock Knock days for both reminiscing and inspiration.

Animation has yet to find itself in art.  The art/genre hissy fit still rages on and although the experimental form is the way home, it is yet to break into the mainstream.  Perhaps the new argument should consider whether the high art of painting itself is now genre, rehashing old themes.
